Ben and Mia put on costumes. Ben is a green dinosaur. Mia is a purple cat.

They walk with Mia’s mom. The sky is getting dark.

They see a house with a big pumpkin.

“Trick or treat!” they say.

A kind neighbor holds out a bowl.

“Take one each,” she says.

Mia drops her bucket. Plop!

Ben picks it up for her.

“Thank you!” says Mia.

They each take a treat.

At home, a grown-up checks the treats.

“What was the best part?” asks Mom.

“Going with my friend!” says Mia.

Ben smiles. “Mine, too!”
