The story: The Shoe Test

Two friends go to a shoe shop with a grown-up.

“I like these blue shoes,” says one friend.

“Try them on,” says the shop helper.

The friend puts on the shoes. He stands up. He takes five steps.

“These feel too small,” he says.

The helper brings a bigger pair.

He tries again. He can wiggle his toes.

“These fit!” he says.

His friend smiles. “Now you can walk with me.”
